Accident On The High-Way

Pictures from a multiple fatal car accident that occurred at about 3.15pm Nigeria time today, along Nyanya Karu road, where about 32 persons lost their lives. The accidents occured on the highway leaving traffic backed up for miles in both directions. Rescue workers were at the scene to help any  survivors and recover bodies from the mangled remains of several cars involved in the accident.SaharaReporters
 
Twenty-nine persons yesterday cheated death in Abuja as they survived multiple accidents involving a trailer with registration number XE 532 KUJ, carrying sand rammed into nine vehicles before Setraco company on the new Kubwa Expressway, A driver of a white Toyota van with registration number FG 229 J45 and 27 others escaped death in the multiple accidents including occupants of eight other vehicles.
Policemen and officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, who were at the scene of the accident, took the driver, whose legs were said to have been badly damaged to a nearby hospital for medical attention. One of the policemen, who preferred anonymity, said apart from the driver who was heavily injured, no life was lost in the multiple accidents, but said all the vehicles would be taken to the nearest police station and if the station could not contain the vehicles, some of them would have to be taken to the FRSC office.
